I think they are similar people, but they are still different and come from very different backgrounds...





Lily is muggle-born, while Ginny is pure-blood


Lily had one sister, Ginny had 6 brothers


Lily was good at charms and Potions, while Ginny is good at Hexes and Quidditch





We only have one view of Lily, while we have many scenes with Ginny - how she was shy and reserved, a fangirl, and then how she grew up. Lily might have been loud and obnoxious before that one scene in 5th year, and we don%26#039;t know much about who her friends were or what she did for fun.

I%26#039;m hoping somebody remembers what old 70%26#039;s variety show this skit was on.





Lily Tomlin is a housewife, doing the laundry. She may be parodying an ad or something, because she is talking to the camera. She finds lipstick on her husbands collar. That throws her off, and she digresses into all sorts of doubt about her husband and her marriage, and eventually she blurts out %26quot;well, little Billy isn%26#039;t yours!%26quot;. That made me laugh so hard. Heck, I remember it 30 years later!





Anyone remember that skit, and specifically it was on? It could have been Flip Wilson, Sonny and Cher, Cher, Carol Burnett (but I don%26#039;t think it was that show, for some reason). If you remember, let me know.

Well on Laugh In Lily Tomlin was a telephone operator so it can%26#039;t be Laugh In. My mom says it was The Flip Wilson Show, she%26#039;s 51 and used to watch those type of shows so I am assuming she is right. Hope this helps

With a good grow light and lots of care this can be done. There are two types of grow lights; one for foliage and one for flowering. Be sure and use one for flowering. Here is the info you need.

Reply:They belong outside. Inside they will not have enough light and they are vulnerable to fungus gnats and mealy bugs. With insufficient light, the foliage will get very soft and lanky. Until it warms up outside, give it as much light as possible, and keep the soil just moist, but never soggy. Bloom is dependent upon the plant getting as much light as possible.





You can certainly keep one inside for a few weeks to enjoy the flowers until it warms up outside, and they grow quite happily in pots-so that you can take the pot with you when you move. Put it in the sunniest place in the yard until you move. Callas love high humidity, so Louisiana is a good place for them to be.

How did Lily over hear Richie's "murder" plan on All My Children?

On today%26#039;s episode, it showed Lily having a meltdown and they showed her flashing back to Richie talking about the %26quot;murder%26quot; he has planned. What I now know is that this is an elaborate plan by Richie to set Annie up but what I don%26#039;t know is how Lily managed to overhear it?

Lily was at the hospital whe she noticed Ritchie was in a room. So, she went inside and asked him if he was ok, and if the reason he stood her up the other day was because he was in the hospital. He Appeared flustered, because he and his Psychologist from the prison, were is the midst of a conversation. He told Lily he didn%26#039;t remember her, and he was actually in the middle of speaking to his doctor, if she could excuse herself. Well, she got all mathematical and ran to a supplies closet, and started counting to herself. Well, after a few mintues, she figured since Ritchie liked numbers so much, she would try to help him remember her through numerals. So, she made her way back to his room, and noticed the door was ajar. She could her the DR. and Ritchie talking, and Ritchie said%26quot; Don%26#039;t worry, The murder will take place as planned.%26quot; So, then she ran off really ranting about numbers now. At no time did Ritchie and the Dr. make it clear who Ritchie is supposed to murder, but you get the feeling, it is someone the DR. wants killed, in exchange for Ritchie%26#039;s early release.

You can also order little mini samples for a quid off their website, so you don%26#039;t waste money on a product that%26#039;s too light/dark.





If anyone%26#039;s had any experience with either of these, I%26#039;d be grateful for some feedback =] Actually if anybody could recommend me some foundation thats worked for them, let me know.

What I do is first use a brush to apply the powder to your face. Then I use the sponge that comes in the compact. I dab it on the powder (just so very little gets on the sponge) and then I smooth it over my face. I really like the results I get from it.

My water lily buds are not making it to the surface!!!!?

i have a water lily in a half barrel, and have had it for a while, every summer i wait for some lilies to bloom. i notice quite a few buds but by the time they reach the surface they are decayed... WHY? i don%26#039;t mess with it at all, just fill it with water every time it needs it. other than that i%26#039;m too scared to do anything else. ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED!

You may wish to re-pot it and get some fertilizer (there is special fertilizer made for lotus/lily).





It may have some kind of rotting, parasitic or fungal disease of the tuber as well, which is causing the failure. Re-potting it will offer you the chance to check out the tuber and see how it%26#039;s doing.





PS--Generally speaking, lilies and lotus are easy to keep-- if this one keeps failing on you without any obvious signs of wrongdoing on your part, try getting another one and see how it does.

I wonder if your variety is a shorter growing pygmy type, and the water level may be too deep. I grow full size and pygmy water lilies in enclosed containers, but have to maintain the correct water level, particularly for the dwarfer type: I%26#039;ve got a couple now with buds half way up, and going sideways, because I%26#039;ve been away and rainfall has overfilled their tubs.





Another option is to add some specialized water lily feed, into the soil. Aquatic plant suppliers will stock this, and will also ensure your plants are vigorous, and have enough nutrients to grow to their potential.

Portland too warm for lily of the valley?

I wanted to plant lily of the valley in a little used portion of my yard for an easy low maintenance ground cover, because I have heard lily of the valley are tough.





However, when I went to the nursery to get some, the lady said that while we can grow lily of the valley here, it is actually a little too warm here in Portland Oregon for them, so they are a high maintenance plant here, not a low maitenance plant. She said they take a lot of care when things warm up.





Is this true?

I can%26#039;t speak for the temperatures because I have had them grow successfully here in New York (LI) but always in a damp, fairly shady area. So if you are thinking of planting them in full sun that may not work.

This is year number 2 at this house and there is lily folliage, but no bloom or even buds, any idea why?

Doesn%26#039;t appear to be stella de oro, but may be day lily. Do day lilies have different bloom times? The only thing I can think of was maybe the folliage was cut back the year before I moved and it needed last year to preparea again to flower... The stella de oro lilies bloomed last year and there are already buds, but not on the other lily plant.

If they are daylillies, they may be crowded out. Check after the normal summer bloom period. Dig them up and divide them, that may do the job and get you blooms next year.
Reply:You may need to fertilize them early in the season. It may be too late for this year but find a good fertilizer for daylilies and use it early next spring.

After nagini attacks Snape, he gives harry his memories then says to harry, %26quot;look at me%26quot;. It then describes the green eyes locking with the black for just a moment, then Snape dies.





I was confused as to why snape would%26#039;ve told harry to look at him in the few seconds he had left to live, so I read that page again. Then it ocurred to me that he told harry to look at him cuz he wanted to see lily%26#039;s eyes one last time before he died... anyone agree with me?

Too bad Snape and Harry didn%26#039;t get the chance to talk about it, or to apologize or become friends...but then again there is that really sweet conversation in the epilogue regarding Snape, remember? Lily - no set age range here, but given its current resurgence, my first thought is an adorable little girl or sweet older lady -- both positives in my book. Basically a currently-common choice that does manage to transcend the times, fitting a child or woman of any age. Assuming popularity isn%26#039;t a concern, just a lovely, pleasant image, if you follow. ;)
