Lily - no set age range here, but given its current resurgence, my first thought is an adorable little girl or sweet older lady -- both positives in my book. Basically a currently-common choice that does manage to transcend the times, fitting a child or woman of any age. Assuming popularity isn%26#039;t a concern, just a lovely, pleasant image, if you follow. ;)

Reply:We had a dog named Shelly that just died a few months ago. We had her for like 14 years and she was the sweetest, best dog we ever had. Go for it, it%26#039;s a good name. Lily sounds a little stuck up.
Reply:Well, Shelly is my best friend%26#039;s name and Lily is my daughter%26#039;s name, so I think of good things when I hear them. I agree with the nickname of Michelle that someone mentioned...it really isn%26#039;t a stand-alone name and not mane people go by that any more. It is rather dated.. it was more popular in the 80%26#039;s.


Lily, though, my daughter is 12, and she LOVES her name. She always has. It fits her so well! And as an added bonus, she was born 2 days before Easter, so I%26#039;ve always called her my %26#039;Easter Lily%26#039;.

Reply:Shelly, I only know it as a nickname for Michelle, which is my stepsisters name. She is a teacher, very caring, would do anything for anyone, and we do call her Shelly.


Lily is a friend%26#039;s newborn baby. She is so sweet and peaceful. I don%26#039;t know any grown Lily%26#039;s, but the two little girls that I know with the name are sweethearts.

Lily reminds me of a pretty flower. I work at a daycare and we had a Lily. She was a little one but mighty! She was awesome though.
