My friend said that he was told that if he touched the leaves on a Lily, they would fall off and die. He said he tried this and they did indeed fall off. Is there any truth to this or is he crazy?!!

Reply:Well, if you dont water it for days on end, then touch the leaves, they indeed will fall off. Otherwise, Lilly plants are actually pretty hearty ! Go ahead, touch , tug, pull etc till your hearts content!LOL
Reply:nah you would be surprised the handling a flower gets before it reaches the consumer. there used to be a myth that roses out of water for 30 seconds die.
Reply:I don,t think so. Unless the touch is very abusive and crushes the leaves.
